UPM, a global biomaterials company headquartered in Finland, supports Save the Children’s work to help children and families living in war-torn areas, such as Ukraine and Gaza.
“In conflict zones around the world, children often bear the greatest emotional and physical burdens. Humanitarian organisations like Save the Children have the best capability and means to coordinate and deliver the necessary support with the integrity we require,” says Saara Tahvanainen, EVP, UPM Marketing, Sustainability and Communications.
In addition to this support through UPM’s Biofore Share and Care programme, UPM has invited all its employees to contribute to two causes of Save the Children Finland: humanitarian emergency relief around the world and support for low-income families with children in Finland.
“We are extremely grateful for UPM’s significant contribution to our work, which enables us to support humanitarian response in the most vulnerable conditions to ensure children’s survival,” says Anne Haaranen, Director of International Programs at Save the Children Finland.
